The Alleghany Highlands Chamber of Commerce and Tourism hosts activities all year long and promotes local and regional events that benefit the businesses and citizens of the region. To submit an event, either click on the link or please contact the chamber office at 540-962-2178.

The Alleghany Highlands Chamber of Commerce and Tourism hosts and co-sponsors a wide variety of events throughout the year, including networking opportunities, educational events and ribbon cuttings. The Chamber also supports major festivals, concerts and sporting events designed to enhance the quality of life in the region and attract visitors.

A collagraph is a print made from a collage. Small pieces of paper, string, buttons, or other small and textured items about the thickness of a nickel or quarter are glued to a rigid substrate (such as mat board) in an interesting arrangement of textures and sizes. These are then sealed with a coat of varnish and allowed to dry. Once dry, the “plate” can be inked and run through a printing press, allowing the printmaking paper to sink into…
