Internationally known quilt maker, author, fabric designer and teacher and host of the popular “Patchwork Staycation” online classes, Kaye returns to teach the methods for “REMEMBER ME” (82”x 98”) quilt along with many additional techniques, lectures and demos.  This hands-on retreat is limited to 50 students, so register early!  Registration includes pattern, morning & afternoon breaks, continental breakfasts, lunches & dinners and is open to beginning, intermediate & advanced quilters.

EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION: $275 NOW THROUGH 8/1/2022.  50% NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSITS REQUIRED.
REGULAR REGISTRATION: $300 FROM 9/1/2022 TO 02/15/2023, NON-REFUNDABLE.

($2.50 Restoration Fee/$2.50 Ticket Fee added at checkout)

A Kaye England “Quilt Winter Blues Away” Facebook page, monitored by Kaye, will be set up in September 2022 to share information about the Retreat, all questions on fabric, supplies, agenda, and extra-activities will be discussed with Kaye. Informational emails will also be sent to all registrants.

The heart of “Remember Me” is the stunning center radiating star block executed in four different fabric choices.  The remaining anchor blocks are tones of those four with some liberty in fabric choices.  The quilt has a very busy English style coloring but could be accomplished in any color palette.  Variation on a theme is encouraged with all types of options available. This project is suitable for all skill levels.

Seven pieced blocks (four of each) are the anchor blocks, set on point in an organized pattern.  Boundless opportunities for creative differences in positioning the blocks, choosing which blocks to use and selection of types of blocks will be covered.

The class will offer a variety of projects utilizing the block choices for those that choose to make a different quilt.

Methods of Piecing.  Piecing techniques using specialty rulers of any brand, plus traditional methods for those that choose not to use rulers will be taught.  The entire quilt is accuquilt friendly. Focus will be on executing the more complicated blocks in class.

Each of the seven anchor blocks could easily be their own standalone quilt, mixed in countless design choices for beautiful results.  Daily inspirations will be shared to tease your “Inner Designer”.

A sewing machine in good working order is required.  Rental machines will be available from the local quilt store for $25.00. Supply lists will be provided in the fall.  Additional demos and evening sessions are part of the Retreat.  Registration fee also covers a Friday evening performance of “Forever Simon & Garfunkel” performed on the stage of The Historic Masonic Theatre
