Outdoor Events/Special Projects Internship

The Alleghany Highlands Chamber of Commerce & Tourism is seeking an intern for the summer of 2026. Candidate should have strong written and verbal communication skills; organizational and time management skills. An interest in planning outdoor related events, promoting tourism initiatives in the Alleghany Highlands and providing great customer service. Marketing, social media marketing and public relations interest. Strong interpersonal skills & desire to work with the public and visitors. Experience with MS Office Suite of software and social media.

Occasional evenings and weekends throughout the summer working outdoor events. Approximately 40 hours/week for 10-12 weeks at a rate of $14.00/hr. Email cover letter, resume and list of references to info@ahchamber.com.
