Semiquincentennial (250th) Portrait of an Eagle

Celebrate our country’s 250 birthday by using acrylic paints to paint the head of a bald eagle on an 8″x8″ canvas.

Date: May 23, 2026            Time: 10:30 – 3:00

Registration Deadline: May 18, 2026

Age: 14 and up

Class Cost: $60

Supplies: Instructor will supply canvases, brushes, and paints. She does encourage students to bring their own paints and brushes if they want. Colors include: carbon black, brown (raw umber), cadmium orange, yellow, beige, and titanium white.

There will be a one-hour lunch break.

Barbara Rowe is an avid birder who began painting wildlife, farm animals, and pets after retiring. Her work may be found hanging on the walls in the Art Center Shop
