'FALL' in love with the Alleghany Highlands!

Enjoy the parks and forests breathtaking views as the leaves are changing colors!

Help the Chamber make improvements at Humpback Bridge!

With the recent damage to the “V” in the iconic LOVEwork sign at Humpback Bridge, paired with years of natural erosion and high amounts of overall use at the wayside park, there is a definite need for improvements to be made at Humpback Bridge. The Chamber has taken the lead on ensuring the LOVEwork sign is re-created so that it can continue to be viewed by the thousands of tourists and local residents that visit the wayside park each year. We also want to take the improvements a step further by making additional updates to this beautiful, historic site. Stay tuned for more details and a link to donate to this cause – we hope you will help us keep Humpback Bridge, Uniquely Alleghany!

THE HISTORIC MASONIC THEATRE AND THE VIRGINIA OPRY PRESENT THE KENTUCKY HEADHUNTERS

October 28 from 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Nashville has hardly been the same since the Kentucky Headhunters took it by storm in 1990. A country act–in the loosest sense of the term–the Headhunters’ hard-driving music ranges far afield into boogie, old-style rock ‘n roll, and white-boy electric guitar blues. The result is as rowdy and woolly as the singers themselves–a guitar-charged stomping sound variously described as “psycha-billy” and “hillbilly speed metal”.
