This year, Boys Home of Virginia is excited to offer a 5K – $20.00, 10K – $25.00, and half-marathon – $50.00! Discounts available if you register by 10/05/20. Children 10 and under may run the 5K or 10K for free. The top three male and female finishers in each age group of each race will receive an award. Our age groups are: 18 and under; 19-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69, and 70+. All races start and end at the Intervale Trailhead of the Jackson River Scenic Trail, in Covington, VA. The USATF-certified course has a smooth crushed gravel surface and is mostly flat, with some small hills. The course follows an old railroad bed of the Chesapeake and Ohio Railroad, winding along the Jackson River through the scenic Alleghany Highlands. You are welcome to run or walk at your own pace; please be aware that aid stations will close at noon.
