A concert presented by a community mass choir made up of local singers and members of the American Spiritual Ensemble.
The concert is the culmination of choral workshops conducted by members of the American Spiritual Ensemble under the direction of Dr. Everett McCorvey.
The music celebrates the evolution of the Negro Spiritual and chronicles the progression of African Americans out of slavery. This matinee performance at Covington High School will begin at 3:00 pm. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the door.
