Children’s Clothing Swap Event

Little ones outgrow clothes so quickly, it feels like buying a new wardrobe every few months. Our Swap Event provides an opportunity for you to exchange the sizes you no longer need with ones that you do without spending a penny to upgrade your little one’s wardrobe!

How does it work?
1) Drop off clothes at the designated locations a week prior to the event. These drop off locations below.
2) Receive one ticket for each item you drop off. For example: 10 shirts and 5 pants = 15 tickets
3) The day of the event, you will use your tickets to swap for items that are new-to-you!

What clothes can I drop off?
Sizes preemie/newborn to 6T. Clean, unstained clothing only! This event will be for cold weather clothing including jackets, shirts/onesies (short and long sleeved), pants/jeans, shoes, holiday themed outfits, etc. We will accept most items except: summer themed outfits, bathing suits, sandals, and such.

What are the drop off times?
–> Oct 25th, 5p-7p at Covington’s Hometown Halloween
–> Oct 31st, 12:30p-2p at Clifton Forge Downtown Trick-or-Treat
–> Nov 2nd, 10a-12p at Four Moons Designs

Where will it be?
The Mountain View Elementary cafeteria! You will enter through the doors nearest the cafeteria/gym. Look for the balloons and signs.

What about the clothes remaining at the end of the event?
Any remaining clothing will be donated to Mountain Momma’s Clothing Closet to be given to families in the Alleghany Highlands area who need items for their little ones. The closet does not cost families anything!
