Help us get our pollinator garden ready for spring pollinators. Plants must have bees to pollinate, making them indispensable to our ecosystems. There are almost 400,000 flowering plant species, and 90% of them depend on insect pollination. As pollinators vanish, the effect on the well-being and viability of crops and native plants can be catastrophic. We simply cannot survive without bees and other pollinator insects. All ages are free to help. Activities include litter pickup, mulching, and weeding. You bring the muscle and Douthat State Park will bring the tools.
