The Highlands Community Bank Film Series Harry Potter and The Sorcerer’s Stone (PG) Sun., Sept. 22 at 2pm In the John E. Hillert Auditorium at the Historic Masonic Theatre **All Films are Free** Pottermania was a thing (still is for some). So conjure your Patronus and join us! Did you know: The producers tried to give Daniel Radcliffe green eyes and Hermione buck teeth like in the books, but failed. Sadly, Daniel had a terrible allergic reaction to his green contact lenses and had to stop wearing them, while Emma Watson couldn’t speak clearly wearing her false buck teeth. We’ll kick off our celebration of the boy wizard with the cinematic adaptation of the first of J.K. Rowling’s popular children’s novels about Harry Potter, a boy who learns on his eleventh birthday that he is the orphaned son of two powerful wizards and possesses unique magical powers of his own. He is summoned from his life as an unwanted child to become a student at Hogwarts, an English boarding school for wizards. There, he meets several friends who become his closest allies and help him discover the truth about his parents’ mysterious deaths.
