KRISKINDLMARKT looks & smells like a European Christmas village. Last year we welcomed more than 1500 guests, and we’ve grown into a “can’t miss” event in the Alleghany Highlands!
Clifton Forge School of the Arts invites you to enjoy “The Mill” (our repurposed, unheated 100+ year old lumber mill behind the School) filled with laughter, lights, holiday scents & cheer, live music, shopping & entertainment! German Father Christmas will visit! Dress warmly!

Shopping hours Friday, November 22 from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, November 23 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
New this year! Biergarten hours Friday, November 22 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. (after shopping closes). Live traditional accordion music, German beer & gluhwein, and the full German food menu will continue to be available!
ARTISAN CRAFTS: All of our vendors sell items they have made themselves. You’ll find wood-turned bowls and kitchen tools, cutting boards, fresh greenery, hand-made sweaters, felted wool hats, bags & purses, blacksmith-forged items, soaps & lotions, pottery, antique tiles, knit & crochet arts, photography, painted art, jewelry, Christmas ornaments, candies & chocolate, decorative gourds, quilts & quilted items, designer wreaths, hand-sewn aprons and clothing, maple syrup & baked goods, and so much more!
FOOD & DRINK: European-style breads & pastries, German beer & Gluhwein (ages 21+), apple cider & cold beverages. German food choices for dine-in or take-out. NEW THIS YEAR: Biergarten with live traditional accordion music, German beer & gluhwein, and the full German food menu will continue to be available on Friday from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. after shopping closes!
RAFFLES & SILENT AUCTION: Artisan-made items from KRISKINDLMARKT vendors & donors. Tickets sold during the event with drawings at event close (winners need not be present). Many other beautiful items in a Silent Auction. Proceeds benefit Clifton Forge School of the Arts, the community art school of the Alleghany Highlands.
