As part of its summer reading program for children, the Clifton Forge Public Library will host Muscles with Russell. “Just Begin and You Will Win” will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 24. It will be held at the Clifton Forge Fire Department, located at 701 Church Street.
Russell, an 11-year-old Staffordshire Terrier, assisted by his owner, Sue Ellen Haver, shares his abilities with children and captivates them in a way that only a dog can do. He demonstrates how he makes right choices while providing motivation and inspiration. Russell holds the AKC Canine Good Citizen Certification, the Therapy Dog Alliance Certification, and current Veterinary Health Certifications.
Sue Ellen is a speech pathologist/audiologist, a certified wellness coach, and the author of several children’s books and motivational coloring books.
You are encouraged to come and join Russell for a fun and captivating program which will include audience interaction. The children will receive a free goody bag which will, among other things, include books, coloring books, crayons, and stickers.
Light refreshments will be provided following the program.
Parents or guardians should accompany their preschoolers and primary grade children.
