Enjoy a weekly class of personal attention while painting with others, with demonstrations from local artist Ed Bordett! This is a general class for beginning and intermediate watercolor students. It will focus on composition and design as well as leaning wet-in-wet, dry brush, and some experimental skills.
Fincastle artist Ed Bordett is a graduate of the National Academy of Art in New York City and the Ringling School of Art in Sarasota, Florida. Although these days he is best known for his silkscreen and oils, Bordett has never stopped doing watercolors, using them as a preliminary version for other media but also for the sheer pleasure of the medium’s special characteristics. His strong focus on how to organize a picture and his wry sense of humor should keep the class interesting. As he says, “a good time will be had by all!”
